It is hard to understand what Sony does wrong with its Xperia line of devices that almost all of them are plagued with the sudden death issue.
We saw this first happen in the year 2013 on the Xperia Z, and since then a number of Sony devices have suffered this. The company has previously fixed the issue via a software update, but we keep wondering why this continues to happen even on the latest flagship device from Sony, the Xperia Z5 Premium.
For no good reason, our Xperia Z5 premium suddenly died yesterday. The battery had more than enough charge, around 60%, but yet the device suddenly powered off and now isn’t booting up at all.
We tried the known tricks found on various forums on the internet to fix Sony Xperia sudden death issue, and surprisingly the device booted with it.
If your Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium has also died suddenly, then you may as well give the tips below a try.
Fix Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium Sudden Death
Tip 1: Press and hold “Power + Volume UP” button together for a while. This might boot the device.
Tip 2: Download and install Sony PC Companion software on your PC. And repair your Xperia Z5 using the software.
We hope the tips above helps you boot your Xperia Z5 back to life. If not, then it’s better you take the device to an authorized Sony Service center and ask for a replacement device.
