February security patch out for Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini and Galaxy Tab A 9.7″ and 8.0″ WiFi edition

Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update to two of its devices namely the Galaxy J1 Mini and WiFi editions of Galaxy Tab A 9.7-inch and Tab A 8.0″. The new update brings with it February security patch.

The update with build number J105FXXU0AQA3 is currently being received by the J1 Mini devices in Turkey. The roll-out being a gradual one should soon become available to the J1 Mini units in Europe as well.

As for the Galaxy Tab A tablets, the bigger 9.7-inch WiFi edition, is getting the update as build number P550ZCU1BQB1, while the Tab A 8-incher user should look out for P350ZCU1BQB1 OTA update. At present, the OTA is being rolled out in China and presumably should reach Europe soon.

Other than the monthly security patch, the update tags along with it minor bug fixes and system enhancements. The OTA roll-out should hit your devices anytime soon, if not already received. In case, you are too impatient to wait for it, you can check it out manually by heading over to Settings » About device » System Updates.

However, before hitting the download button, do get your handset charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network.
