That’s a better name than Function, anyway. We’ve been using the Samsung Function moniker for the Verizon’s Galaxy S II for a couple of months now, and that too on the sole basis of such naming at an accessories stores. Like it or not, that’s the impact rumors and leaks have on us. But in the midst of Verizon’s Galaxy S II 4G LTE saga, we’re introduced a new name unintentionally — the Fascinate II. Makes sense, no? Verizon does have a habit of using +1 to the next generation of their devices — e.g. Droid/Droid 2/Droid3 and Droid X/Droid X2. And Samsung’s done the same, using the Galaxy S II name for the successor of Galaxy S, which was known as Samsung Fascinate at Verizon.

In an effort to clear up the doubts, the Verizon’s twitter account used the Fascinate II name to identify the Verizon’s S II, and that’s what lead us to believe that fascinate II is the name. What remains to be seen is whether it’s LTE equipped or not, of which possibilities are too low.
