Fantastical, one of the most popular calendar app for Macs and other Apple devices, has finally arrived on Windows as a native app.
Fantastical has been called the cleanest, most usable calendar app that makes life simpler for those who like to plan ahead and stay on schedule. With such features as multiple time zones, schedule overviews, the ability to add multiple accounts, and much more, it’s been the go-to calendar app for Apple users since its release in 2011.
Fantastical for Windows is available as part of the latest 4.0 update though the only new ‘feature’ is its Windows availability. This is also the first time that Flexibits, the developer behind Fantastical, is breaking away from the Apple-ecosystem-only mold, and opening the doors for users to access the app natively on Windows. Fantastical is available to download via the Microsoft Store.
Note that the app is not native to PCs with Arm architecture, which discounts the Copilot+ PCs. If you have one of those AI PCs, you’ll have to emulate it or wait for the Arm version to arrive (it’s on the cards).
Fantastical can be used for free. However, most of its noteworthy features, such as access across devices, conference calls, interesting calendars, extended weather forecasts, etc. require a subscription (which, at $7/month or $57/year, can be quite expensive). There’s a free trial as well to give you a taste of the features.
With this release, Fantastical is now available on iOS, Mac, iPadOS, Apple Watch, Vision Pro, and Windows. There’s no word on if Fantastical will ever get an Android release.
