At the F8 developer conference on Wednesday, Facebook announced a platform for the developers to build standalone applications that can be integrated to Messenger. This platform is created to assist people to enhance their experience using Messenger with the help of images, GIFs, and videos.
The developers will upload the applications to a dedicated Messenger store. From this store, users can install the additional applications aimed at enhancing their experience and enjoy with their friends.
Besides this, Facebook has also come up with Businesses on Messenger that lets users to interact with the businesses via the social network. For instance, when a user buys a shirt online, the firm can send the required details and answer to the questions of the users directly via Messenger.
As of now, there is no word on when this new Businesses on Messenger will be made available for everyone. The applications can be downloaded for Messenger and they have been rolled out soon after their launch. The developers can also start creating applications for the same.
With respect to the Businesses on Messenger, the firm claimed that users can enjoy rich and personal conversations with businesses. They can choose to receive updates in Messenger and also go on with their conversation with the business in the app.
