Cell phone manufactures having been constantly battling with several statutory obligation that have been thrown on them. One such thing is the call recording! It might not seem like a big deal to you, but it can be illegal in some places and while totally legal in others.
Most global manufacturer disable the call recording option with respective to the region of sale. But some user feel that they have been stripped off such basic functionality.
On the Samsung Galaxy S5 the call recording is disabled by default but thanks to a simple mod by _alexndr that enables call recording on any stock Samsung firmware. A word of caution though, make sure that you’re following the laws that govern your jurisdiction. If you’re free of all legal obligation, go ahead and enable recording of calls on your Galaxy S5.
This mod will work for users running a stock Samsung firmware on Galaxy S5 with Root access. To enable call recording, download the CR_enable_alexndr.zip file from the link below and flash it on your Galaxy S5 using a custom recovery. Once you’ve successfully flashed the mod, a record button will be added to the call screen of your Galaxy S5. Your recordings will be saved in the Sounds folder on internal SD card.
