Android 7.0 Nougat firmware leaks for Elephone P9000

The Elephone P9000, which sprang a surprise late last year by becoming one of the first devices to ship with Marshmallow pre-installed, is at it again with Nougat software update. An Android 7.0 based firmware for the Elephone P9000 just leaked out on the web today, in beta form albeit, and even though it lacks certain important features, it’s good to see it in the wild.

Right now, you don’t have fingerprint sensor working on the Nougat build, while Home button doesn’t functions to its full capability as on stock build, while some other apps will greet you Force close errors too, but if you want to install it on your Elephone P9000, you can.

The leaked Android 7.0 firmware for the Elephone P9000 is available for download at the source page here, and is flashable using the SP Flash Tool PC software. If you don’t have a previous experience with this, we suggest you take a look at some YouTube videos on installing firmware on Elephone P9000 before venturing into Nougat installation all by yourself.

The Elephone P9000 gave a pleasant surprise to its users with good quality build and top features at a low price. The device looked strikingly similar to OnePlus 2, but the actual user experience was much different. Powered by an octa-core Helio P10 processor and 4GB RAM, the 3000 mAh battery backed up device gave impressive scores in various benchmarking apps.

Other Chinese OEMs are strutting their Nougat stuff out too, with the Zuk Z2 Plus Nougat build already available in thew wild for download. And it’s not alone, it’s joined by Huawei Nougat firmware leaks for the P9 Android 7.0 build and that of Mate 8.
