How to Root Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T
- Download the Debugfs root tool package from the official development page. The downloaded file will be in the compressed zip format.
- Extract the downloaded file to a convenient location on your computer.
- On the tablet, enable Unknown Sources under Settings » Applications. Also enable USB Debugging under Settings » Applications » Development options.
- Go to the folder where you extracted the root tool’s files.
- Double-click on the RootDebugfs file to start up the Debugfs root tool. Connect your tablet to the computer. Windows will ask where the drivers are located for the tablet, in which case point it to the DriversAndroid folder in the folder where you extract the tool’s files to install the drivers.
- Type in 1 in the root tool’s window, then following the instructions to root your Transformer Pad Infinity.
Important: If you get a “Segmentation Fault” error after the “Testing Superuser..” step in the root process, say Yes to the message, and it will continue to root the device successfully. - Now, you can give root access to apps whenever they request it by pressing the Allow button on the tablet when prompted.
NOTE: If you do not get a prompt to give root access to apps, go to the Play Store and install Superuser, after which the root prompt will show up properly.
