Earlier today Verizon Wireless started rolling out the much anticipated One M9 Marshmallow update for its users, in and as version 3.37.605.7.

The Marshmallow OTA update will become available to all Verizon One users gradually, but if patience is not your strong suit, then lucky for you that we’ve got hold of the OTA and have shared it right below.

You can use the Marshmallow OTA update provided below to upgrade your Verizon One M9 to Android 6.0 right away. In order for this to work, your One M9’s system partition must be completely untouched. If you ever installed TWRP recovery or rooted your device, then it most probably won’t work — unless you go fully back to stock, restoring a TWRP backup which was taken on untouched system partition in place.

How To: In order to install it, simply download the update from above and transfer it your device. Make sure you have stock recovery installed, and that in fact, never had a custom recovery like TWRP installed on the device. With update transferred to phone, just reboot into recovery mode and then choose the install update option. Now, browse and select the OTA file, and then confirm to apply update. Wait for 4-5 minutes for update to apply, and choose reboot system now option to restart the device, upon which it would be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Marshmallow update brings support for Android Pay, and a cool update to Google Now. You get the cool Doze mode in the update, and much better handle on apps to control their permissions, and battery and memory usage. It’s estimated that one could gain around 20% extra battery life on Marshmallow compared to Lollipop.
