LG customizes its device a lot, it shows that the company loves it, even though that’s something not to our liking. The LG G2 is no different, and the way LG has slapped its software and bundle of apps on Sprint G2, we forgive you for asking a debloated ROM for your device. We’ve got some cool custom ROMs to share with you, that come fully rooted, and also are light on bloatware. If you want full stock Lollipop update with root access, that also available, but the two other ROMs here are light and ultra, cutting down on Google apps and Google+LG apps respectively.
Those LG apps that are deemed unnecessary are removed, to help speed up the phone. Removed Google apps are easily install-able from play store, this you don’t need to worry about them. The cut down versions, also called debloated ROMs, are faster in comparison.
Make sure you are already on Lollipop update. We’ve covered the root for your Lollipop update (see step 1 below) and also the TWRP recovery, which you will need to be able to install the ZVG update on your Sprint G2.
Being a powerful phone, LG G2 isn’t shy of Lollipop amain, but give LG’s curious software choices and laggy software and apps, we could not resist but recommend you to go for ultra version of the ZVG update we’ve got here, so that get the maximum performance and least bloatware.

Warning: Warranty may be void of your device if you follow the procedures given on this page. You only are responsible for your device. We won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device and/or its components.
Important Note: Backup important files stored on your device before proceeding with the steps below, so that in case something goes wrong you’ll have backup of all your important files.
- Prepare your device by installing TWRP recovery first of all. Links below would help you get it.
- Root your Sprint G2.
- Then, install TWRP recovery on your Sprint G2.
- Transfer the Full, Light or ultra update file to your device’s internal storage and remember the location where you save them. Also transfer the modem file if your modem is not ending with ZVG in Settings > About phone.
- Boot into recovery mode. You can use Quick Boot app for this.
- Make a backup. Once in recovery, take a backup of your current ROM.
- Wipe your device. Once the backup is finished, do this: select Wipe, then Advanced wipe, then select Dalvik cache, System, Data and Cache. Then do the ‘Swipe to wipe’ at bottom.
- Install ROM now. Go back to the main menu of TWRP recovery and select Install. Navigate to the file where you saved your ROM’s zip file, select it and ‘Swipe to Confirm Flash’ on the bottom of the screen. Now wait until the flashing process finishes.
- Go to back to recovery’s Main menu, select Reboot System Now. First boot takes time, around 10 mins, so be patient.
That’s it.
Your device will now reboot with ZVG Lollipop update, already rooted, and debloated depending on your choice of ROM. Do not forget to say thanks to developer Agimax for this!
