The LG G4 served as LG’s 2015 flagship and was also one of the few remaining smartphones to offer expandable storage and a removable battery to boot. Under the hood, the G4 featured a 5.5-inch quad HD display, 3GB of RAM, the Snapdragon 808 and of course, the removable 3000mAh battery.
Given the display resolution and the size of the battery, the smartphone was just able to last through a single day of usage. The device shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop on board. LG may roll out the Nougat update too, but that remains to be confirmed as of yet.
Well, forget LG and try Lineage OS 14.1 which is Nougat based. You’ll be able to customize and tweak the performance of your device to your heart’s content. With the custom ROM, you’ll also be able to squeeze out a lot more battery life than you would have had with the stock LG firmware.

Since this is an official release of Lineage OS, the ROM can be expected to be used as a daily driver, but it’s preferably safer to flash the Nightly builds. If you’re the daring type and are dying to find out what’s new with Lineage then by all means go ahead with the experimental builds.
