The long forgotten webOS based tablet by HP — ToachPad — has been breathing new life each year with the latest version of Android getting ported over to it via means of AOSP based custom ROMs.

Developers have been supporting the tablet to switch over from webOS to the latest version of Android for many years. If you happen to own an HP TouchPad, chances are good that you’re already running an AOSP (Android Open Source Project) based ROM on your tablet.

Anyway, if you’ve been waiting for an Android 7.0 Nougat ROM for your HP TouchPad. Developer flintman has released Android 7.0 Nougat based Evervolv ROM for the WiFi model of the device.

Since this is the first release of a Nougat based ROM for HP TouchPad, it has bugs and issues not suitable to be a daily driver. But then HP TouchPad itself isn’t a suitable daily driver device in the year 2016 and onwards. So it wouldn’t hurt to test drive the latest version of Android even with things like WiFi and Camera broken, would it?

If you’re interested, grab the HP TouchPad Android 7.0 Nougat ROM from the link below and install/flash it using TWRP recovery on your tablet.

Also, you’ll need to flash/install a Gapps package as well to get Google services like Play Store on your HP TouchPad. Get it using the link below.
