Android Wear devices are slated to release in Q2 of this year and if you’re curious to see how these devices are going to work, you could start by installing the Android Wear Launcher on your non-wearable Android device.
Thanks to Ashutos1997 & Carlos Manuel over at XDA for making the Android Wear Launcher install-able on any Android device.
So how does Android Wear Launcher works? Well, the launcher works as the Notification center on Android Wear. The launcher does nothing but display your notifications on full screen. To navigate through notifications you can swipe Up and Down and to open a notification, swipe right and tap Open.
If you’d like to test drive the launcher on your device, grab the Android Wear Launcher apk from the download link below and install it just like you’d install any other apk file. No root access is required for installing the launcher’s apk file.
