Lockscreen and pattern lock is pretty handy for protecting unauthorized access to your device. But it is not so required some times, for example when you’re at home you don’t really need a lock screen. There is no one to have a peek at your phone as the phone will be in your hand always. It would be great to have automatic trigger for toggling lock screen. Right? Well, No Lock Home Xposed Module does just that. No Lock Home Xposed Module is developed by XDA senior member moneytoo (Check out the link to his post at the end of this post)
No Lock Home works by disabling the lock screen by the location set by connected WiFi networks. When your device is connected to your home WiFi, the lock screen is disabled and you are taken directly to the home screen instead of lock screen.
This xposed module works with all types lockscreen protections:
- Swipe
- Face Unlock
- Pattern
- PIN
- Password
And it also supports TouchWiz fingerprint scanner of Samsung Galaxy S5 and any other locking system, as the dev suggests. But, it may have some issues with some HTC phones. Also it is worth noting that it works without any wakelocks and without any internet connectivity, which means battery consumption is zero.
No Lock Home is Xposed module for lock screen bypass based on network connectivity – when you’re home, connected to your trusted WiFi AP, lock screen will not be shown. Once you disconnect from your AP, your selected lock screen will be displayed.
No Lock Home is using only two hooks. One to disable lock screen which is triggered once screen goes off. Other call is for re-locking when screen goes on and there’s no trusted AP.
There is an app in Play Store which gives the same functionality, SkipLock. SkipLock is not free, but offers more functionality to AOSP device. But No Lock Home Xposed module is preferred by us since it’s free and supports much more devices and lock screen methods. Download the No lock home from the developer’s XDA post given below. And install it as you install any other Xposed Module. If you don’t know, instructions are provided below.
