Then move into Deepfog Basin and look for the road north of the Sentry Post and the waterline that runs upward from it.

The fox is not easy to spot, so stay close to the snowy edge and watch for movement near the brush and road bends.

Step 2: Locate the fox spawn

Search the area above the north road where the water guides you into the spawn zone. The foxes are subtle and can run off quickly, so approach slowly and scan the terrain instead of sprinting straight through the area.

Step 3: Catch the fox first

You cannot simply pet it from the start; you need to catch it first, the same way you would handle mounts.

If the interact prompt is unavailable, it usually means you are not in the correct interaction state yet, so reposition and try again.

Step 4: Feed it meat

Once caught, drop meat from your inventory so the fox can eat it. This is the trust builder that matters for this pet, and after feeding you should repeat the process until the trust bar is full.

Step 5: Claim it at 100 trust

When the Snowfield Fox reaches 100 trust, interact with it again and take it in as your pet.

After that, it appears in your Inventory > Pets tab and can be summoned like any other companion.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Do not try to tame it without catching it first; this pet follows the same catch-then-feed logic as mounts.

  • Do not use the wrong food type; the Snowfield Fox needs meat.

  • Do not expect instant adoption after one interaction; you still need to build to 100 trust.

  • Do not ignore the location cues; the spawn is near HernandDeepfog Basin, and the north road by the water.

  • If the fox disappears, wait and recheck the area because the creatures can be hard to see and may run off.

The Snowfield Fox is a cosmetic-flex pet with the usual companion utility: it can be summoned from the Pets tab after adoption, and pets in Crimson Desert help with battlefield looting rather than combat. That means the real value is convenience plus collection prestige, not direct damage output.
