In Crimson, the full Helfryn Leather Armor set is found entirely within the City of Demeniss, with each of the four pieces located in ultra-hidden chests requiring wall-pushing, Force Palm, or breakout mechanics. You can collect the complete set in around 20 minutes if you know the exact routes. Here they are:
How to Get the Full Helfryn Leather Armor Set
Step 1: Helfryn Leather Cloak Location

Head to the north city wall of Demeniss.

And find the U-shaped two-story house with a brown roof.

Directly beside the vine-covered glove tower.

Look for an openable window on the second floor above a stone arch on the south facade.

Climb through the window into the attic.

Then walk to the back right corner where the treasure chest containing the Helfryn Leather Cloak is hidden.

The cloak provides 3 Defense, 5 Ice Resistance, and Movement Speed Lv 1.

Step 2: Helfryn Leather Gloves Location
Go to the vine-covered guard tower on the north city wall (the same tower next to the cloak house).

Climb up the southern side where vines are growing to just below the roof.

On the left side of the vines, you’ll spot a secret flip wall. Embed your knife into the wall using Left Trigger, then immediately perform a Force Palm strike while holding Resist to stay planted as the wall rotates.

If you don’t hold Resist, you’ll be flung off. This reveals a hidden treasure room with the Helfryn Leather Gloves chest.

The gloves have 16 Attack, 4 Defense, Lightning Resistance Lv 1, Critical Rate Lv 2, plus Abyss Gear slots for 10% pickpocket bonus and climb speed.

Step 3: Helfryn Leather Armor (Chest Piece) Location

Travel to the southeast side of Demeniss.

And locate the large connected white stone towers, specifically the taller bell tower (you’ll know it’s the front due to the crowd of soldiers and citizens).

Climb up about halfway on the left side.

Until you reach a small stone ledge with short columns forming a rectangle.

Press Kliff against this spot and push the stone wall inward to reveal a secret hidden chamber.

Inside, open the chest to get the Helfryn Leather Armor chest piece.

This armor has 9 Defense, Lightning Resistance Lv 1, and 3 Abyss Gear slots with health regen, swim speed, and damage reduction orbs already attached.

Step 4: Helfryn Leather Boots Location

Head to the main castle on the south side of the city.

And go outside to the main gate leading into the city.

Look to the right of the gate along the wall where you’ll see a small hole covered by wooden boards.

Smack the wooden boards with your weapon to break them.

Then enter the hole. Inside the small secret room, open the chest to find the Helfryn Leather Boots plus a Palmer Pill.

The boots provide 15 Attack, 4 Defense, Critical Rate Lv 2, Lightning Resistance Lv 1, and Abyss Gear slots granting 10% increased silver and Fire Resistance Lv 1.

Step 5: Bonus Black Sun Shield (Optional but Recommended)
While in Demeniss, grab the Black Sun Shield by heading to the southern castle.

And finding the long bridge from streets to main castle.

Jump down into the water.

And go under the archway farthest from the castle.

Face the castle and embed your knife in the wall (Left Trigger), then perform a Force Push to flip the trick wall open.

This reveals a small room with the Black Sun Shield chest.

The shield is Refinement Level 4, 7 Defense, Movement Speed Lv 2, with Damage Reduction 1 and Guard Stamina Cost reduction cores.

Critical Mistakes to Avoid
-
Don’t skip holding Resist during Force Palm on the gloves tower wall—you’ll be flung off and miss the hidden room
-
Wait until after Chapter 8 if the city is hostile; completing this chapter makes Demeniss non-hostile for easy exploration
-
The cloak window is only accessible from the south facade—don’t waste time trying other entry points
-
The armor tower wall only pushes from the left side ledge—climbing elsewhere won’t reveal the secret
-
Boots require breaking wood with a weapon, not Force Palm—use regular attacks

Bonus Headpieces to Complete the Pirate/Cowboy Look
The Helfryn set doesn’t include a helmet, but these headpieces complete the outfit:
