The Galaxy A3 is in line for official Marshmallow update from Samsung but that is gonna take some time for Samsung, even though Marshmallow is about 5 months old. So till then, we have got the best unofficial update for you, the Galaxy A3 CM13 ROM, right here, which would bring Marshmallow to your A3 in next hour or so (depending on you, actually).
Right now, Samsung is busy distributing the Marshmallow update to its most premium devices already released — the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and Note 5 — while the upcoming ones like Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will come pre-installed with Android 6.0.
Because Samsung is running late here — Motorola is already done updating its 2014 and 2015 flagship devices to Marshmallow, FYI — the low to mid-range Samsung devices are easily another month or two away from receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, and Galaxy A3 is one such device.
Samsung will be the case of Marshmallow update for Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7.
The CM13 ROM is based on stock UI, as Google developed Android, and is void of Samsung’s not-so-cool TouchWiz UI. This is a blessing of course. The stock Android UI is a delight to use, and amazing to operate. We really think you are gonna love CM13 for its stock UI, and other customization options, which arr many BTW, including theming.
Have fun with CM13 on your Galaxy A3. Keep watching this space for more as will be adding other Marshmallow ROMs soon as and when they come online.
