With the relative success of Huawei Ascend Mate 7 — one that sported a nice touch-based fingerprint senor at the back that has taught Samsung a thing, too — here comes a successor in the form of Huawei Mate 8, sans the Ascend tag.
There is little doubt over the aesthetics of Huawei’s flagship phones — Mate 7 was one of the most good-looking device out there — and it seems the same will only continue with Huawei Mate 8. The device, featured in Gold and Black colors in the leaked pic you see above and below, is already one of the better phone in looks.
We don’t know much about the Mate 8’s specifications, but he rumors have it that it will rock 4GB RAM and an octa-core processor, which could be its own Helicon Kirin 950, one that uses 16nm process in production. A Quad HD display is also rumored, which is kind of a given if display is expected to be 6 inches or more. It will also sport a fingerprint sensor at the back like its predecessor, below the camera, which sadly seems to be forgotten in the leaks.
If you are in a market to buy a large Android phone — let’s not call them a phablet — then you might want to wait and check out what Huawei has in store in Mate 8 — only if Huawei graces your country normally, which might be rare, though.
