Even after so many leaks and rumors, if any of us still needed a confirmation on the existence of Galaxy S6 Edge, then today is the day. Bloomberg, a very trusted in the industry, has obtained information from its inside sources that Samsung will announce two new smartphones, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, at MWC next month, and both the devices will have 5.1 inch screen and a metal body.
This confirmation from Bloomberg falls in line with leaked Galaxy S6 Edge Specs from AnTuTu benchmarks database, which also revealed a 5.1 inch screen with Quad HD display. Other specs included in the leak were Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB RAM, 20MP rear camera and 5MP on front, Android 5.0.2, and Galaxy S6 model number “SM-G925”.
The report also confirms a metal frame on the device, which we saw in a leak last month. However, the sad part of it is the similarity of design to Apple’s iPhone 6 — rounded edges and speakers on bottom.
We have also had plenty of Galaxy S6 cases leaking from various second-tier manufacturers, the most recent that leaked earlier today even showed us the device in a transparent case, exposing the flat (metal-looking) back of the device.
We’re still 18 days away from the official announcement of the two devices from Samsung at MWC next month. Meanwhile, just stay tuned with us for more leaks on the device.
