Uh-oh! Dear Samsung Galaxy S8 users, you would have to wait a little longer for Android 7.1.1 update. While you would receive the Android 7.1.1 update soon, the current one, unfortunately, doesn’t bring the Android 7.1.1.

The current update, on the other hand, gets you the latest August security patch for unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 devices in the USA. The update, which arrives as software version G950U1UEU1AQH3 is rolling out for all carriers. These include:

  • Bluegrass Cellular (LRA)
  • Nextech / C-Spire (ACG)
  • Spint (cdma) (SPR)
  • Tracfone (TFN)
  • USA (USC) – US Cellular
  • USA (AT&T) (ATT)
  • USA (T-Mobile) (TMB)
  • USA (Verizon) (VZW)
  • Virgin Mobile USA (VMU)

As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.
