AT&T, the american telecom carrier, has decided to offer a LTE version of the Asus Memo Pad 7 at its retail and online stores. The device comes with a quad core 1.3 GHz intel CPU and HD IPS+ touchscreen. On the camera front, there is a 5/2 MP rear/front camera combo while 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage — which can be further expanded via an external SD card — sum up its memory capabilities. There are also dual front stereo speakers.
The device is available via all AT&T retail stores as well as its online service and can be bought either prepaid or on a contractual basis. For a two year contract, the tablet costs only $74.99 while it can be also purchased on installments that will entail 20 monthly payments of $8.75 with zero downpayment. For prepaid customers, the tablet can be had at an upfront price of $174.99.
There is also a very interesting offer available at AT&T Next where you can get the Memo Pad 7 for an extra payment of just $ 0.99 while buying a smartphone from the carrier.
The device will be available for purchase in AT&T stores and the carrier’s website from April 10 while you will have to wait until April 24 if you want to buy it on a prepaid basis and while not very high-end, it’s certainly a choice worth consideration for those looking for a low priced android device.
