The AT&T LG V20 smartphone is receiving a new software update right now. Users of the device should receive a notification about the software, available for download as an OTA.

This is one of those updates that only includes the latest security patches while improving device security and stability. There is usually nothing new in the design or features department, and that holds true for this particular update as well.

The software update version is H91010r, and it weighs about 117MB in size. It features the latest November Android security patch, and patches the Blueborne exploit, as well as the KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability. A recommended install then, if you want your device to be secure.

The LG V20 still runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, but will be updated to Android Oreo in Q1 2018. Its successor, the LG V30, is slated to get the Oreo update later this month.

If you’ve received the update, go ahead and install it right away. If you haven’t, it could take a few days till you see it. You can manually check for the update by launching the Settings app and navigating to General > About phone > Software update.
