It was confirmed last month that Samsung is working on the Active variant of the Galaxy S8 and could soon launch the smartphone to the masses. It seems like the wait is about to end as the AT&T Galaxy S8 Active with the model number SM-G892A has been cleared by Wi-Fi Alliance earlier today.
Samsung usually launches the Active line in June so the Galaxy S8 Active could also be launched in a similar timeframe. So far, the Active line has been exclusive to AT&T and if we look at the model number: SM-G892A, ‘A’ at the end indicates that this year’s model too will be available on AT&T.
Although we would like it to be available on other carriers too, that’s something we will only know when the company launches it next month (probably).

Apart from the fact that the S8 Active will be launched very soon, we don’t know much about the device. What we can expect, though is that the Galaxy S8 Active will come with a rugged body like its predecessors at least, MIL-STD-810G certified and IP68 certification.
