AT&T Galaxy S6 Active receives March security patch update with build G890AUCS6CPK8

A new firmware update is being rolled out to AT&T Galaxy S6 Active units. The update installs the March security patch and is being seeded over the air.

Arriving as build number G890AUCS6CPK8, the update not only brings the monthly security patch to Galaxy S6 Active on AT&T but also fixes regular bugs and tags along system enhancements. The file size is 97MB.

The OTA update may take a while to reach your device. But if waiting is not your thing, you can check for it manually by heading to Settings > About device > System updates. Before going for the update ensure that your device is connected to a WiFi network and is at least 50 percent charged.

Galaxy S7 Active is in line for a Android 7.0 Nougat update as the device with Nougat OS has been spotted on benchmarking site GFXBench, hinting that Samsung might soon release the Nougat update for the said device.

Other AT&T devices which are receiving the March security patch update are Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The update arrives as build G930AUCS4BQC2 for Galaxy S7 and build G935AUCS4BQC2 for Galaxy S7 Edge.
