AT&T Galaxy Express 3 receives May security patch as an OTA update build J120AUCS3AQE1

The budget friendly device from Samsung, Samsung Galaxy Express 3 (AT&T) is currently receiving a new OTA update that brings the May security patch. The new update comes with version number J120AUCS3AQE1.

Apparently, they have skipped the April security patch and jumped directly to the May security match from March security patch. The latest security patch has kernel version number 3.10.9-7662162 and is for the devices running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It weighs only 29.56MB.

As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update. Further, keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent while installing the update.

And, if you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
