At the Computex 2015 tech show, the Taiwan based firm announced the ZenWatch 2. Following the same, the retailers including Best Buy and Amazon have slashed the price of the original ZenWatch to $150. Though it is a yesteryear model, the device runs on Android Wear and sports a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with 512 MB of RAM.

The ZenWatch received the Android 5.1.1 update but it did not bring the Wi-Fi functionality to the smartwatch due to the hardware restrictions. If the lack of Wi-Fi functionality is not deal breaker for you, this deal is an enticing one that you can consider.

If you are confused on which one to pick, the original ZenWatch or the ZenWatch 2, the latter has many advantages as it boasts of a revamped design and arrives in two sizes – a 37 mm face and a 41 mm face.

Also, the ZenWatch 2 features an improved IP67 certification for enhanced dust and water resistance. Apart from these, the upgraded version has a functional crown and a new magnetic charging system. The battery in the ZenWatch 2 is expected to last almost for four days.

If you are new to the smartphone trend, you will be happy with the ZenWatch launched last year. The only issue is that there are very few features that are missing as a result of hardware restrictions.
