Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 receives an update with intelligent power saving features

The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 is receiving a new software update with improvements and optimizations. The update is rolling out as an OTA and is available to users right now.

According to the change-log, the update includes improvements to the intelligent power saving feature, voice calling, and supports mobile depth custom library. The version number for the update is CMCC_Phone-13.0.0.20-20170318

If you’ve got a Zenfone Pegasus 3 (ZC520TL), then you should definitely install this new update. This is still based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but some other Zenfone devices have started to receive the Nougat update. The Pegasus 3 was released in June last year.

Before you install the update, make sure there’s more than 50 percent charge on your phone and that it’s connected to a strong Wi-Fi network. If you haven’t received the update notification, you can manually check for it by heading to Settings > About > System Updates.
