February 16, 2019: Asus has multiple variants of the ZenFone Live L1 that it’s hard to separate them. For instance, there is a new update rolling out to one of the variants with the Snapdragon 430 chipset and model number ZA550KL, installing software version 15.07.1901.32. This update installs the January 2019 security patch alongside improvements to Google and Asus APK and bug fixes as well.
Being an OTA update, it will take time before all units get the download notification, so be patient. Once again, this update is rolling out to the Snapdragon 430 variant with model number ZA550KL and not the Android Go variant that also carries the same model number.
January 29, 2019: The ZenFone Live L1 has multiple variants that are pretty confusing even to us, but well do our best to get you the most accurate info. This time, an update is rolling out to a variant of the device with the same model number ZA550KL but this one has a different processor on board – a Snapdragon 425.
The update, which combines December 2018 and January 2019 security patches into one, arrives carrying version 15.01.1901.119 and is airborne, meaning some ZenFone Live L1 users will receive the OTA ahead of others.

Asus ZenFone Live L1 is the company’s first device to run the slimmed-down version of Google’s Android Oreo, the Go Edition. The device came to life in May 2018 and has so far been launched in a handful of markets across the globe, beginning with Indonesia. Here, you’ll come across all that you need to know regarding Asus ZenFone Live L1 software updates, news, availability, changelogs, and so on.
One thing worth noting, however, is that Asus ZenFone Live L1 has two variants. The entry-level variant that has 1GB of RAM is powered by Android Oreo Go Edition while the one with 2GB RAM has the standard Android Oreo running the show. So far, both devices have the same model number ZA550KL, which is a little strange coming from Asus.

Asus ZenFone Live L1 Android Pie update
Expected release date: Q2 2019
Asus is one of the few OEMs that keep up with regular software updates for its devices, be it the premium models or those on the opposite end of the spectrum. Still, we cannot guarantee that Asus ZenFone Live L1 will be among the recipients of Android 9 Pie when the stable version arrives, but here’s to hoping so.
