The Zenfone Live from Asus has now launched in India and is available for purchase on Amazon. The budget smartphone has been priced at INR 9,999, pitting itself against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the current ruler and extremely popular handset in the segment.
The Zenfone Live has a modest set of specifications. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 410 chipest with 2GB of RAM and a 2650mAh battery. The front of the device features a 5-inch HD display which is good enough for the price range. The smartphone also packs in a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front facing camera.
Asus seems to have cut a few corners too, with the gyro sensor missing on the Zenfone Live. Considering the price range of this device, other OEMs have not compromised on these small sensors and also offer similar spec’d devices at lower rates.

Asus isn’t that popular for its poor update schedule and on top of that, the Zenfone Live comes with Marshmallow on board, instead of Android 7.0 Nougat. Nevertheless, it is still a good enough product for everyday use and should perform well too.
The Zenfone Live is available in three colors: Rose Pink, Gold and Black.
