March 28, 2019: The ZenFone 5 is receiving a new software update that installs version 16.0615.1903.92. This version brings a new security patch for March 2019, fixes to issues with Line photo transfer and notification bar UI, and optimizes the Android system.
It’s available over the air, but if it’s yet to arrive on your handset with model ZE620KL, you can grab the download file in the table below and install it manually, but be sure you know how to go about it.
February 15, 2019: An update is available for users of the ZenFone 5 and is arriving as version 16.0611.1901.1. The changelog says it fixes issues with the SIM card, but you can also expect other bug fixes and performance optimizations, so be sure to download it once the notification shows up.

Asus rolled out Android 9 Pie stable update to the ZenFone 5 on December 20, 2018. The device is expected to receive Android Q somewhere in early 2019.
