Asus has new OTA updates for users of the ZenFone 5 and ZenFone Max Pro M1 handsets that bring bug fixes and performance improvements to the duo.

The ZenFone 5 update has software version 15.0619.1810.70 and installs fixes for third-party app calling issues while the ZenFone Max Pro M1 is on the receiving end of software version 15.2016.1810.334, which installs a new Android security patch for the month of October 2018.

The Max Pro M1 update also fixes power consumption issue and optimizes the double-tap to wake system feature, among other things. Also, users of the ZenFone Lite L1 in India are receiving a new update to version 15.07.1810.18, which updates the security patch level to the latest version available for the device.

These are OTA updates, meaning it will take time before all units get the download notification. While we have download links for the ZenFone 5 and ZenFone Max Pro M1 firmware files, be sure that you know how to go about with the manual installation, otherwise, you might be better off waiting for the OTA notification, which shouldn’t take long to arrive.
