Asus is rolling out a new software update to its ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 2 Laser handsets.

The update arrives with the software version V21.40.1220.2161 and 30.42.31.1 for the ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone 3 Laser respectively and installs the latest security patch on both these handsets.

In addition, the Bluetooth compatibility issue on the ZenFone 2 Laser has been fixed while the overall system UI stability has been improved on the ZenFone 3 Laser.

Like any other update from Asus, it could take a week or two for the latest Google security patch to reach all the handsets.

To stay away from the waiting game, you can click on Settings > About > System Update on your phone to check for the update manually.

Also, make sure to charge your smartphone before installing the update and most importantly back up your data before hitting that install button.
