ASUS sure wants to keep its track record of updates as sparkling clean as possible. After updating the Transformer Pad TF300T to Jelly Bean back in August, ASUS has now started rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to the Transformer Prime to owners of the device in the US as well as Spain.

If you’re somehow not aware, Jelly Bean brings a whole new range of features, most important of which is the smoother, more fluid and responsive interface thanks to “Project Butter”, along with a redesigned notifications menu with expandable and actionable notifications, information cards and voice recognition based search via Google Now, offline voice typing, and more.

The Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700T) update was also supposed to get the update but was delayed till next week, as a couple of applications needed a keyboard firmware update to work properly, according to Gary Key of ASUS.

The update should be rolling out to more countries soon. To check if it’s available for your Transformer Prime, head to the Settings » About tablet » System update menu. Do let us know if you have gotten the update yet. As for Transformer Infinity owners, only a few more days to go.
