Tipster evleaks has received a word that ASUS and AT&T are already discussing the next generation of Padfone X, namely Padfone X2. When surprisingly, even the Padfone X, which was released 6 months ago internationally is yet to launch on AT&T in US.
The Padfone X2 is codenamed as Unicorn and will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset (a 64-bit enabled processor) and the tablet shell of the device will be bumped to 10 inches.
For those who are new to Asus Padfone, it is one Android device that did excite a lot of Android users upon announcement but was never able to take the market by storm with its sales. The Padfone concept is great. It’s a hybrid device that can be used as both a phone and a tablet, it’s basically a phone at its core that can be docked into a tablet shell (see the picture above).
Asus Padfone X2 Specs (Rumored)
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset
- 10 inch tablet shell
The Snapdragon 810 chipset which is being rumored here is a 64-bit enabled processor chip. The same 64-bit chipset was rumored to be present on Nexus 8, which is rumored to launch on Google I/O 2014.
