Asus had announced during the Padfone 2 launch events in Taiwan and Milan a couple of weeks ago, that the device will launch in Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore to start with. Asus also announced that it intended to make the Padfone 2 available in more countries at a later date.

Europe pricing for the Asus Padfone 2 was set at €799 and €899 respectively for the 32GB and 64GB versions, tablet dock included. The device was expected to be released before the end of this year, indicating a possible late-November or early-December release. Amazon Italy has now started listing both the Padfone 2 models, for the same price as above, for pre-order. The listing indicates that the device is still not in stock, confirming our suspicions of a late November release. The 64GB  model however, will reportedly only be sold towards the end of December. It is not clear at this point whether the 32GB Padfone 2 will be made available before that.

For those who missed the details on the Asus Padfone 2, the device packs a 4.7 inch Super IPS+ display (1280 x 720 pixels), quad core 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
