We saw the first release of the Archos G9 table a few weeks ago in US, and now the tablet has officially made its way to stores in UK. The 8-inch tablet, which is a powerful combination of both Android Honeycomb (version 3.x) and modern dual-core processor, is priced at just £199 –that’s almost half the price of Galaxy Tab.

The tablet is available in UK via the Archos British web store. The price of the tablet in US is $314 which is only $15 less than UK.

The Archos G9 is an 8-inch tablet powered by a 1GHz ARM dual-core CORTEX A9 OMAP™ 4 processor. The turbo version of this tablet has the same processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1.5GHz.

Archos G9 has 8GB/16GB of built-in storage and runs on Android Honeycomb 3.1, the G9 supports a max screen resolution of 1024×768, it also has a front facing camera with 720p video recording ability.

We also don’t know the amount of RAM mounted on this device but as per Archos the low end models will have atleast 512MB of RAM, which is comparatively low if compared to other Android 3.0 devices, but no harm done as there are models with 1GB RAM available.

Ohh and did I mentioned that it has a usb slot and supports hard-disk upto 250GB, do I need to give you any more reason to buy this tablet I guess no.
