Archos has silently announced the 50d Helium 4G smartphone with dual SIM and dual standby functionalities in the U.S. market. The device is a budget-friendly one carrying a price tag of $129 and it will hit the retail shelves sometime later this month.
Fueled by Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box, the Archos 50d Helium 4G resembles the OnePlus One in terms of design. The device features swappable rear covers with stone finish in Stone Grey and Storm Blue color options.
The smartphone is bestowed with a Snapdragon 410 chipset backed by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of native storage space that can be further expanded using a micro SD card. For imaging, the Archos offering features a 13 MP main snapper with LED flash and a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter.
The Archos 50d Helium 4G boasts of a 5 inch HD 720p display and it is packed with connectivity aspects including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS with A-GPS. The device measuring 8.4 mm thick and 154 grams in weight is powered by a 2,100 mAh battery.
