OnePlus 6 and 6T have a new software update available for download. The software is a target for a specific group of users that enrolled in the ongoing Android Q developer preview program.
The incoming update is the second developer preview of the OS and while it’s true the software is targeting app developers, regular users who are willing to deal with buggy software at the expense of having Android Q installed can still try out this one.
OnePlus says Android Q developer preview 2 has the following issues:
- Emergency call doesn’t work
- Enhanced VoLTE doesn’t work
- Expended screenshot doesn’t work
- Low probability stability issues
- Application compatibility issues
Google is expected to release the stable version of Android Q in August, with OnePlus primed to follow suit somewhere in September or thereabout. If anything, waiting for this stable version is what we recommend, especially for those using either phone as their daily driver.
