It’s barely two days since we reported about the possibility of Samsung rolling out Android Oreo to the Galaxy Note FE and Galaxy Note 7 this Q2. Well, it appears the company isn’t wasting any more time as the former is already receiving the Oreo dessert.

Coming in as software version N935SKSU3BRD5, the update is clearly targeting the Galaxy Note FE model sold through Korea’s SK Telecom (SKT). The phone is also sold in the country through Korea Telecom (KT) and LG U+ (LGT), formerly known as LG Telecom, so we expect these variants to start receiving the OS, too.

While we expected to see Android Oreo coming to the Galaxy Note FE at some point this Q2 following its certification by the Wi-Fi Alliance, we didn’t see it coming this soon. But hey, it’s not our call to make and in fact, we gladly welcome even more surprises as far as the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, and even the Galaxy J 2017 Oreo updates are concerned.

Also, since the Galaxy Note FE was cleared alongside the Galaxy Note 7 with respect to Oreo updates, we expect to see the surviving units of this phone start receiving the new OS sooner than later.
