Android Nougat update for LG Stylo 2 V to release soon, stands confirmed now

The users of LG’s lower mid-range smartphone Stylo 2 on Verizon network will be delighted to know that the Nougat update for their devices might release soon.

In fact, LG has started testing the Android 7.0 Nougat software for LG Stylo 2 V and once the test is completed, a stable build of the new OS will be rolled out to the device via FOTA and LG bridge, LG confirms.

Although, there’s no word from Verizon about the Nougat release, the source code for Stylo 2 V Android 7.0 Software has been uploaded on the LG Open Source website. Verizon Official Support website page also shows that the software version of Stylo 2 V will be bumped up to VS835v20a with the Android 7.0 Nougat software update.

LG released Stylo 2 last year in October with Android Marshmallow. LG Stylo 2 V sports 5.7-inch HD display. Under the hood it packs in 1.8GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage which can be expanded using a microSD card. There’s a 13MP rear camera and up front we find a 5MP camera for selfies. To keep the lights on, the phone has a 3,000mAH battery.
