At the official launch event, Xiaomi mentioned that the update to Android Pie should arrive on the Poco F1 in Q4 2018, however, there was no mention of when exactly this update will begin rolling out. Well, it appears that the beta testing program is about to kick off thanks to a hint by the company’s global spokesperson and director of product management, Donovan Sung, through his Twitter account.

Sung has published an image of himself outside Google HQ having some fun around the big Android Pie statue. The photo was shot on the Poco F1, which led us to believe this could be a hint that the Poco F1 Pie update is imminent.

Even if the update arrives soon, it will be the beta version, meaning the wait for the stable release could go all the way up to November or December 2018.
