Last month, HMD Global revealed that Nokia 7 Plus will be updated to Android 9 Pie in September. With only a few days left before October arrives, the Finnish company has yet to begin rolling out the update as promised and as usual, fans aren’t a happy lot.
To calm them down, as always, Juho Sarvikas is the man who has taken to Twitter with an apology for the delay and message of hope that the Nokia 7 Plus update to Pie is almost here. At the moment, the company is “running the final round of tests for quality assurance” before it releases the stable version, meaning we could see the rollout begin in the next few days.
#Android Pie ?for #Nokia 7 plus met with a couple of tricky platform specific certification bugs. We've got them now and are running final round of tests for quality assurance. Apologies for the delay. Like you know from Beta Labs, stability is there #nokiamobile

The Nokia 7 Plus was among the first devices to receive Android P beta and many thought this, in addition to being part of Android One program, would help the device get the update early enough. Unfortunately, only Essential did manage to match Google in releasing the Pie update on the very day the search giant started rolling it out, but at least now we know the wait for the update to arrive on the Nokia phone isn’t long.
