Samsung has released Android Oreo to all of its high-end and midrange devices that are eligible for the OS and right now, the attention has primarily turned to the budget Galaxy J series. We know last year’s models of the J7 are high on the list and while Samsung Turkey did publish on its official software update page that the J series will begin receiving Android Oreo in September 2018, it seems things might happen in other regions a little earlier.

Thanks to Wi-Fi Alliance certifications, we can now report that Android 8.1 Oreo is coming soon to the Samsung Galaxy J7 Neo, which is also sold in other markets as the Galaxy J7 Nxt or Galaxy J Core.

Note that the “coming soon” aspect of this release date is our own creation based on past experiences. We cannot guarantee how long the wait duration will take, but we are optimistic the Oreo update will be ready for the Galaxy J7 Neo in the next few weeks.
