Samsung started rolling out Android Oreo to the Galaxy J5 2017 a couple of weeks ago and today, there’s a similar update rolling out to the Galaxy J5 Pro.

Like its counterpart, the J5 Pro is receiving an update that also includes last month’s Android security patch and carries software version J530YDXU3BRH6. It’s an OTA update, which means it will be days before all units get the download notification.

You have the option to wait for the Oreo 8.1 OTA to arrive, but you can also grab the firmware in the page linked below and install it manually on your J5 Pro, but make sure it has model number SM-J530Y before trying anything. Still, the same page has firmware files for other variants of the J5 2017 that have been updated to Oreo.
