The Android 7.1.1 is currently available for Nexus devices in beta version, downloadable as OTA if you enroll your device in Google’s beta program. But it seems that the Android 7.1.1 update will be released as stable version, and that may happen in first week of next month, December 5 to be exact.

Rogers today updated its software update page to reveal the next date its Nexus 6P is set to receive the update, and it mentions Android 7.1.1 as the new version.

It’s only safe to assume that Nexus 5X too will get the Android 7.1.1 update on December 5.

Google released the last set of monthly updates for its Nexus and Pixel devices on November 5 earlier, so it seems that very next update coming on on December 7 will bring the Android 7.1.1 update.

With Google releasing the Android 7.1.1 developer preview (beta) on October 19 last month, it seems the preview period of these incremental update is indeed very short, which is how it should be. Right now, other OEMs are busy pushing the Android 7.0 beta for their users, with Samsung releasing it for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, while Sony for Xperia X and X Performance. LG is the only one to release a stable G5 Nougat update.
