Update (September 29, 2015): Well, it turns out the developer(s) had no luck coming out with a concrete Android 6.0 build as the so-called TeamJB fell short of the efforts. We’re removing the download links until a good real build shows up, one that doesn’t fall to simple build.prop error when the developer is claiming to post stuff like 6.0. So, no links to download right now, and this remains a hoax!
(See updates below.) Well, the custom ROM isn’t available for download yet, but the screenshots have already been shared by the developer team TeamJB confirming that the work is going on to port the Android 6.0 update on LG G3.
The developers took the Nexus 6’s ROM as base and are burning their midnight oil trying to run it properly on LG G3. As of now, the ROM is far from becoming a daily driver, and it seems like a few months work from now — if G3 users are lucky!
If the team is able to get it working fine on global LG G3, model no. D855, then they do plan to bring the Marshmallow update based ROM to other variants such as AT&T LG G3 (D850), T-Mobile LG G3 (D851), Verizon LG G3 (VS985), Sprint LG G3 (LS990) and other model nos. such as D852, including D855.
So far, the ROM boots up all fine, but is unable to connect a call even though network is showing up all fine. The camera app crashes too, while the device is rebooting in like every 30 minutes.
Once links are shared, we will bring you a guide to install it on your LG G3, and let’s hope it becomes of a nicely functioning ROM soon. Fingers crossed.
UPDATE (September 14, 2015)
The ROM is available for download now for LG G3, model no. D858HK, the one you get in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

UPDATE: Links have been removed as there was no clear evidence of ROM working for anyone, and the screenshots we see above seem part of this whole hoax too.

How to Install
Update: as the links have been removed, the guide below isn’t useful anymore as regards Android 6.0 update. Though, if you need a guide to install a custom ROM, the one below will surely help.
→ First make sure you have LG G3 TWRP recovery installed on your device.
Step 1. Download the Google Apps (gapps) and Android 6.0 ROM file (for your model no.) from above.
Step 2. Transfer the Android 6.0 ROM file to your LG G3. Remember the file’s location.
Step 3. Boot your LG G3 into recovery mode. If you are rooted, you can use Quick Boot app from play store.
Step 4. On TWRP recovery (v2.8.6.0 or newer), tap on Install > locate the Android 6.0 file and tap on it. Then do the Swipe action at bottom to begin flashing the update. Also install the Gapps file just like that.
Step 5. The update will start installing, just hang on. When it’s done, you will be back in recovery’s homescreen. Btw, TWRP won’t be back on homescreen, do this. First, tap on wipe cache/dalvik cache and then when that is done, tap on Home button to return to homecreen.
Step 6. Tap on System > Reboot. Your G3 will restart now.
That’s it. Wait for LG G3 to finish booting up, it may take some time. Once it does, check the Settings > About device. You should have Android 6.0 under Android version. Congos!
