Chinese OEM, Huawei, has endured a difficult stretch due to its legal battle with the government of the United States. The company has been banned from using any of Google’s apps in its upcoming smartphones, which is bound to take a toll their sales figures.

Despite being so badly affected by circumstances, Huawei didn’t fail to keep their promise of delivering timely software updates, successfully adhering to the timeline released last month at IFA 2019.

After P30 and P30 Pro, Huawei has started rolling out the first Open Beta of Android 10-based EMUI 10 for the Mate 20 Pro, giving users a taste of Google’s latest OS for mobile devices.

Carrying software version 10.0.0.136, the 4.4 GB OTA brings the September 2019 security patch alongside the highly-anticipated EMUI 10 update. Huawei’s latest OS brings a bunch of subtle and prominent tweaks. From the system-wide dark mode to the fully gesture-based navigation system and everything in between, there are loads of changes to notice and features to discover.

The update is currently rolling out in the Netherlands, but we’re confident of seeing a wider rollout — in other European countries — in the coming weeks.
