The alleged press render of the Galaxy Tab S2 slate has been leaked online revealing a design that is reminiscent to the Galaxy Tab A. The device seems to have a metal frame around its sides as in the Tab A series.
The image shows the presence of a physical home button that is likely to double as a fingerprint scanner. There are power and volume keys, micro SD and SIM card slots on the right spine of the slate.
The upcoming high-end Galaxy Tab S series device is reported to arrive in June, but an official confirmation regarding the same is still pending. The recent gossips tip that the device will arrive in two variants – 8 inch and 9.7 inch respectively.
When it comes to specifications, the Galaxy Tab S2 is said to boast of AMOLED displays with 2048×1536 pixel resolution. The slate is claimed to be powered by a 64 bit octa core Exynos processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and ample 32 GB of expandable native storage space.
The connectivity aspects of the upcoming slate include LTE Cat.6 and Wi-Fi. The Galaxy Tab S2 is likely to arrive with an 8 MP main snapper, a 2.1 MP front facing selfie shooter and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It will arrive in Wi-Fi only and LTE variants and all these models will use the firm’s in-house Exynos chipset.
