The entry-level Alcatel A30 tablet has now made its way to Telus and is being offered at $180. This is actually a pretty decent price for a tablet and what’s more is that you also get Nougat out of the box here.

The Alcatel A30 features a humble 2GB of RAM and the quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor. This is an entry-level chipset from Qualcomm but that shouldn’t bring down performance any bit. With an 8-inch 1280 x 800 display, day-to-day tasks work just fine with no glitches.

Storage is limited to 16GB but is expandable via MicroSD card. A 4000mAh juice pack keeps the device running for two days or so easily. The tablet also features 4G capabilities, so it will be useful on the go.

The whole package, overall, provides the user with an apt Android experience. If you don’t want to shell out $180 at once, Telus is also offering the device for $0 on a two-year term. If the specifications did bog you down a bit, the fact that the device runs Android 7.1 Nougat should cheer you up.
