Acer has come up with the launch of a new variant of its Iconia Tab 10 in the US market. The latest version features some updated specifications as compared to the previous generation Iconia Tab 10 that was launched in September 2014.
To detail on its specifications, the Acer Iconia Tab 10 with the model number A3-A20FHD boasts of a 10.1 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and it is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Also, it is a Zero Air Gap panel that will reduce the reflections even in direct sunlight. The screen is touted to render 170 degree viewing angles and render great sharpness and contrast besides being resistant to scratches and damage. The display is also given a fingerprint resistant coating.
Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the Iconia Tab 10 is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core MediaTek MT8127 processor that is teamed up with 2 GB of RAM. There is 32 GB of native storage space that can be expanded further by another 128 GB as well. At its back, the Acer Iconia Tab 10 boasts of a 5 MP main snapper and there is a front facing a 2 MP shooter as well onboard.
The connectivity aspects of the tablet include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI port and a-GPS. There is Dolby technology in the tablet that assures to render a great surround sound experience to the users. The 5,910 mAh battery in the Iconia Tab 10 is claimed to pump in up to 8 hours of backup to the slate.
The device will be available from the firm’s official store and from the major retailers in the region for a pricing $249.99. As of now, the release and pricing details of this slate in the other global markets remains unknown and we are yet to receive an official word from Acer regarding the same.
